You create architectural plans using CAD and other design software.
You ensure the keeping of building plans and information of Shurgard’s properties as a Data Base to be used by Real Estate and other departments. The creation of the architectural plans starts from the feasibility stage of the project up to the project completion.

You are based at the European Headquarters in Brussels (Groot-Bijgaarden). The position includes the ability to travel on a regular basis.

You report to the Deputy Director of Construction.

LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES!

• You support the Design Team with the technical CAD skills on developing the architectural plans and creating Data Base for the completed projects.


• You will be fully trained in self-storage external and internal layouts (called Unit-Mix), based on AutoCAD during your initial period. You will be required to draw the unit-mixes for the projects.


• You ensure the accuracy of the plans vs. built structure and the information extracted from the CAD (sqm, number of units, etc.)


• You maintain the filing system and project databases.


• You are to be trained to become Architectural Designer within 2 years.

LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR PROFILE!

• You have a bachelor’s degree in architecture.


• You have at least 3 years of experience in architectural drafting in different projects, preferable commercial projects.


• You have knowledge about principles of design, construction, engineering and building regulations.


• You bring experience within the retail sector and you have international exposure, both of which are highly desirable.


• You are fluent in English and have a good command of at least one of the following languages: German, French, and/or Dutch, with German being a strong asset.


• You are proficient in AutoCAD, Photoshop and have good knowledge to realize 3D renderings from SketchUp or Revit models. Knowing about


• AutoCAD dynamic blocs and external scripting would be a plus
  You have a working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
